A – Hello?

B – Hi! Mr Evans. This is Fran from apartment 6. I’m calling because you haven’t sent anyone to fix the problems I told you about last week.

A – I know I haven’t had time. I’ve been really busy. What are the problems again?

B –The ceiling is cracked and when it rains the water leaks in. We have several buckets in the living room to try to catch the water. Also, you said that you fumigated the apartment before we moved in but there are cockroaches.

A – Really? There shouldn’t be cockroaches. I’ll fumigate again when I have time.

B – Also, the stove doesn’t work. I’ve been in this apartment for a week now and I still can’t cook. When are you going to buy a new stove?

A – I will as soon as I get a chance. I’ve been so busy lately.

B – What about the kitchen light?

A – It’s not working?

B – No. I told you about it. When can you fix it?

A - I have some other things to do today but I’ll fix it soon. Oh, by the way, when are you going to pay the rent?

B – I’ll do it as soon as I get a chance. You know I’ve been very busy lately. I don’t know when I’ll have time to bring you the check.
